Posted to: Star Wars
A ton of new content is coming for Star Wars in 2025!
Television Series:
Star Wars: Skeleton Crew: Loosely inspired by the 1980s film The Goonies, it follows a group of children who are lost in space and on the run from pirates. The final episode wraps on Tuesday, January 14, 2025.
Andor, Season 2: The second and final season dives deeper into the backstory of rebel spy Cassian Andor, with 12 episodes covering the four years leading up to the events of "Rogue One." Season 2 premieres on April 22, 2025, on Disney+.
Ahsoka, Season 2: This season will continue the story of Ahsoka Tano and her continued efforts to search for and bring down Grand Admiral Thrawn. Filming will commence sometime in 2025.
Star Wars: Visions, Season 3: An animated anthology series showcasing diverse storytelling styles by different art studios. Visions will return in 2025 with new episodes.
Films:
The Mandalorian & Grogu: This film will conclude the story of The Mandalorian and Grogu, aka Baby Yoda, and will wrap up a few of the other series connected to the story. Directed by Jon Favreau, this film is scheduled for release on May 22, 2026. Production is reportedly wrapped, so we should expect updates throughout the year. More info: https://screenrant.com/star-wars-the-mandalorian-and-grogu-filming-complete/ James Mangold's "Dawn of the Jedi": This film will explore the origins of the Jedi, set approximately 25,000 years before the events of "A New Hope." Production is anticipated to begin in 2025, with more details likely to emerge during the year.
Games:
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake: This is a highly anticipated game and one I'm totally looking forward to! Expected to release in 2025 and will offer a modernized experience of the classic role-playing game!
Star Wars Episode I: Jedi Power Battles Remaster: Set to launch on January 23, 2025, across all major gaming platforms.
Events:
And, of course, Star Wars Celebration 2025: Scheduled for April 18-20, 2025, at the Makuhari Messe Convention Center near Tokyo, Japan. This event should be huge, with major announcements, trailers, and panels for upcoming Star Wars projects.
What are you looking forward to most?

Don't forget about the Revenge of the Sith 20th Anniversary Special Edition! They're releasing a hardcover fully-illustrated volume with cast member interviews, script and screenplay details, behind-the-scenes details, the filming process... it's going to be incredible!
Aside from The Empire Strikes Back, this is my favorite film in the franchise.
